Age bracket is determined by your age as of Jan, 1, 2025. The travel season runs Aug 1st - July 31st each year.
We want to share what joining the Talleyville Traveller program is - we are competitive fastpitch teams that play in weekend tournaments. The travel range is typically Poconos, Jersey Shore, Delaware Beaches, and Central MD. (So, within 90 miles) The number of tournaments range anywhere between 5-10 depending on the coach and how much you want to commit to. There is no hard set number. Our goal as an organization is to develop girls to accomplish their goals - some strive to make the middle school team, the high school team, or play in college - our commitment it to develop them to play at those levels and excel.
Typically tournaments can be played in the Fall (1-3) and practice 2x week - at our Old Mill Fields. November and December are usually downtime. So, pitchers continue to throw, catchers workout, players are doing self-conditioning or playing other sports. January - March - we have indoor facilities to practice fielding and hitting. This works fundamentals, builds arm strength, and allows for focus on the swing and teach/drill bunting. March - July - we return outside, tournaments start up and we try to balance with all the other programs the girls are involved in.
Travel is a competitive program - your girls will get exponentially better by participating. As a reminder this is not rec - playing time is not guaranteed - and girls at all levels are playing full fastpitch rules. That means full stealing, bunting, running, and 9 girls defensively in the field at one time.
We are looking for girls that are coachable and want to play for Talleyville.
